Description
Deutsch: Seefeld, Ortsteil Drößling, Starnberger Straße 7. Pfarrkirche St. Mariä Himmelfahrt. Die Kirche stammt im Kern aus der 2. Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts. Das Langhaus wurde 1687/88 von Martin Gunetzrhainer, der der bekannten Gunetzrhainer'schen Baumeisterfamilie entstammt, im Stil des Hochbarock völlig neu erbaut. Der Bau des Turms erfolgte 1701. Das für einen damals kleinen Ort mit wenigen Höfen überdimensioniert erscheinende Bauwerk war notwendig geworden, weil dort eine Skulptur Mariens, ein Werk der "Münchener Schule" um 1470, in einer Marienwallfahrt verehrt wurde.[1]
