Constelación del Hemisferio: NORTE. Nombres de las Estrellas: Alfa, THUBAN - Del árabe: ath-Thu'ban, "el dragón". Estrella de color blanco-amarillento. Fue la estrella más brillante del Polo Norte entre los siglos 38 a 16 antes de Cristo (del 3700 años al 1500). Beta, RASTABAN - Del árabe: Ra's ath-Thu'ban "la cabeza del dragón". Estrella amarilla. Gamma, ELTANIN - Del árabe: Ra's at-Tinnin, "la cabeza del dragón". Estrella amarilla. Delta, ALTAIS - Del árabe: at-Tais, "el chivo". Estrella amarilla. Epsilon, TYL - De origen desconocido. Zeta, AL DHIBAH - Del árabe. Eta, SHANG TSAE - Del chino. Estrella doble, de componentes amarillentas. Theta, HEA TSAE - Del chino: el menor de todos los administradores. Iota, EDASICH - Del árabe: adh-Dhirkh, "la hiena peluda (macho)". Estrella anaranjada. Lambda, GIAUSAR - Del persa: Jauzahr, "la cabeza y la cola del Dragón". Estrella anaranjada.
