Description
English: Dry valley above Bowbank Although Teesdale is not known for being limestone country, the Yoredale rocks exposed here do include layers of limestone, some of which give rise to characteristic karst landscapes. This is a dry valley with limestone outcropping on the sides, and clearly never carries a stream. The photo is taken from the spur separating the two tributary halves of this valley, which runs parallel to the road down to Bowbank.
