English: Dry waterfall, Cray Gill Compared to my 1988 photo taken from the same spot, there is a distinct lack of water coming over the limestone scar, and only a trickle in the stream bed. At the end of a hard winter, much of the moisture is still locked into the peat by ice, the temperature on the day being a balmy -2C. |
