Summary edit

Description
English: Dryad's Saddle Fungus What a beauty!! Also called Scaly Polypore and can grow 60cm across. This specimen is about 35cm across. This was seen growing on the stump of a tree (ash, I think) which had migrated behind the hedge to grow properly. The fungus is parasitic and causes white rot in living trees. Apparently it is edible.
