Description
English: Durga Pujo is the biggest festival of Bengalis all over the globe and Mahalaya is the day when the festival feels kick in. Celebrated annually during the start of Autumn every year this is the time of the year when bengalis unite in spirit and body. This picture depicts the busyness on the morning of Mahalaya. Idols of the goddess Durga is being transported to various parts of the city and also abroad and people flock in hundreds to witness the scenes and take in the smell of the festival.
