| Commentary | It's unclear what- if anything- the various colours seen here represent, as I don't know how the various R, G and B sensors respond under IR light. Whether the greeny-blue corresponds to different IR wavelengths or is just an artifact isn't clear. (It's notable that images taken through an 850nm filter instead of this 720nm one show no colour beyond noise). It may make more sense to view this converted to mono, although this particular version is intended to demonstrate the unmodified results of photographing a scene through an 89B filter on the relatively IR-sensitive Olympus C2000-Z. |
