Srpski (latinica): Detlići i žune su vrlo značajni za ekosistem jer svake godine izdubljuju stabla i time obezbeđuju mesto za gnežđenje velikom broju vrsta ptica. Ptice koje mladunce odgajaju u šupljinama drveća nazivamo ptice dupljašice. Kako bi detlić napravio duplju u stablu, drvo treba da dostigne određenu debljinu i starost. Nažalost, takvo stablo je najpotrebnije drvnoj industriji i neretko biva posečeno, a ptice dupljašice ostaju bez pogodnog mesta za gnežđenje. |
