Description
English: Portrait (oil on canvas) of Henri Duponchel (1794–1868), French architect, interior designer, stage designer, director, theatre administrator, and silversmith, especially known for his work as a designer and managing director at the Paris Opera. He is often confused with the contemporaneous French entomologist and government administrator Charles-Edmond Duponchel, and Kelly gives this name, but this is an error (see Category:Henri Duponchel).
