Description

I am visiting San Francisco for the Pride weekend - one that turned out to be the most historic of them all, thanks to the Supreme Court rulings that legal same-sex marriages cannot be denied federal benefits, and that Proposition 8, which had banned same-sex marriages in California in late 2008, is dead on a legal technicality.

As tradition dictates, the Dykes on Bikes start the parade. Always a great sight. Lesbian Power!

A very awesome Australian couple, complete with a pink Australian flag. Australian lesbians represent well in the US thanks in large part to actress Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres's wife, but Australia is also the origin of Rupert Murdoch and the News Corporation, the main homophobic voice in American journalism through its outlets such as Fox News and New York Post.
