Notes
  • Significance: The Kingsbridge Car House, built in 1897, is an example of a large scale 19th century urban trolley car barn. The building retains its original brick and stone envelope including an elaborate modified Roman Renaissance style facade, as well as its monitor roof. The construction and use of the facility enabled the Third Avenue Railroad company to expand and service its northern operation.
