Description
English: Avenger-class mine countermeasure ship USS Scout prepares to pull along side Royal Fleet Auxiliary Lyme Bay prior to rafting during a joint. Rafting occurs when two ships pull close to each other in open water to transfer supplies through the use of a gangway. Scout is attached to Combined Task Force 151 deployed in support of maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
