Das am 5. Oktober 1975 eingeweihte Denkmal am Wanderweg von Eisenach Karlskuppe über die Geisköpfe nach Stedtfeld erinnert an den Eisenacher Kommunisten Kurt Lange, der sich an diesem Ort in den 1930er Jahren mit seinen politischen Freunden und Mitstreitern traf. Die Am Sockel befestigte Gedenktafel wurde nach 1989 von Unbekannt herausgebrochen. Der Wanderweg wird heute nur noch selten begangen, daher geriet dieser Ort in Vergessenheit.
