Summary edit

Description
English: Early one morning at Salt End, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
There had been a sharp frost during the preceding night and this had given rise to the still air. Some of the 'steam' (water vapour) was from the left-hand cooling tower, but the majority was from the long rows of heat exchangers associated with the gas-fired power station at Salt End. Both of the cooling towers are 365 feet high, so the 'steam' plume seen here is several thousand feet high. The photograph was taken from the Hedon Flyover about 1.5 miles east of the Salt End site.
