Summary edit

Description Originally established in Silloth 1864 as a mobile structure on a short rail track as the rear of two leading lights indicating the approach channel to the port of Silloth. In 1914 it was fixed in this position. It was automated in 1930 and withdrawn from service in 1959. It was rebuilt in 1997 in it's original style by Associated British Ports who operate the Port of Silloth.
