| Description |
English: A view of Edinburgh Castle from across the road junctions at the west end of Princes Street. The square tower belongs to the Church of St John the Evangelist, which stands at the corner of Princes street and Lothian Road. The bus, of Edinburgh Corporation Transport, is in Lothian Road, presumably about to turn right into Princes Street. Beyond it and to the right is the spire of The Parish Church of St Cuthbert. On the extreme right is the curved facade of what is now known as the Rutland Hotel. Between the church towers is the castle's hospital building. Between the spire and the Rutland Hotel is the castle's New Barracks building. |
