Description
English: Edinburgh from Rest and be Thankful This spot on the eastern slopes of Corstorphine Hill is where David Balfour & Alan Breck parted company at the end of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, 'Kidnapped'. Alan could go no further since he was still an outlaw. Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle can be seen in the distance beyond Ravelston Golf Course in the foreground whilst to the west behind the photographer Edinburgh Zoo covers much of the hill
