Object history Provenance: Art dealer Carl Clausen, his auction 1930, no. 236. Presumably acquired here by Judge Axel Hind, Copenhagen and hence by descent in the family. Auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen Auctions on June 3, 2019; not sold (Lot 886/1002). Auctioned again on March 3, 2020 and sold for DKK 85,000 (Lot 893/​567).
Exhibition history Exhibited: A sketch for the work included in the Weie-exhibition, Statens Museum for Kunst (The National Gallery of Denmark), Copenhagen and Aarhus Kunstmuseum, 1987, cat. no. 87, ill. p. 204.
