Description
English: Edward Craig, speaker of the lower house of the State Legislature, addressing luncheon attendees at the first annual convention of Southern California members of the California Republican Assembly. Attendees, L to R are: Mark Requa (Republican National Committeeman for California), Leo Anderson (incoming president, who presided over the luncheon), Craig, Sherrill Halbert (chairman of the State organization) and Catherine Venn (chairman of the women's division of the organization). The luncheon took place at the convention held at the Clark Hotel (426 South Hill Street).
