Taken from Shores of the Polar Sea. A Narrative of the Arctic Expedition of 1875-6, FIRST EDITION, one of 16 mounted chromolithographed plates, and other illustrations "from drawings made on the spot by the author", folio (475 x 320mm.), Marcus Ward, 1878.

Moss was a naval surgeon on Nares' flagship, Alert, but also served as artist for the expedition.
