Description

Edwin E. Muñiz . . Edwin Muñiz entered military active duty in January 1984 after completing ROTC and getting Commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army, serving as a specialist in the Chemical Corps as a Chemical and Nuclear Warfare and Chemical Munitions. He also served in Armor and Artillery units. During his military career he was assigned to Army units in Germany; Ft McClellan, AL; Ft. Bragg, NC; and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Among his assignments, he had a combat tour with the XVIII Airborne Corps during Operation Desert Storm; an assignment to an Armor Battalion that patrolled the old East and West German Border during the Cold War; performed special assignments at Johnston Atoll while Johnston Atoll was under the control of the Defense Nuclear Agency, and participated in Operation Steel Box, the combined U.S. Army and U.S. Navy mission to relocate the United States Chemical Munitions Stockpile from Germany to Johnston Island. . .

Before assuming his current duties as Field Supervisor for the Caribbean Ecological Services Field Office in March of 2004, he served as a Project Manager with the Environmental and Monitoring Division of the U.S. Army Chemical Demilitarization Agency at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, and served as the Chief of the Antilles Regulatory Section with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in San Juan, PR
