Description
English: Soil is excavated with a floating crane during the construction of the Leuvesluis. An inland vessel lies with an open cargo hold next to the crane. On the left the Nieuwe Leuvebrug with behind it the National Monument for the Merchant Navy 'De Boeg'. Bottom right the entrance to the Zalmhaven. In the middle the Nieuwe Maas with the Maaskade in the background. Year: 1957.
Nederlands: Met een drijvende kraan wordt grond afgegraven bij de bouw van de Leuvesluis. Een binnenvaartschip ligt met geopend laadruim naast de kraan. Links de Leuvebrug met daarachter het Nationaal Monument voor de Koopvaardij 'De Boeg'. Rechtsonder de ingang van de Zalmhaven. In het midden de Nieuwe Maas met op de achtergrond de Maaskade. Jaar: 1957.
