Description
Nederlands: WERKENDAM – In de polder van Werkendam was het vandaag zo ver, de eerste schop ging de grond in voor het nieuwe glasvezelnetwerk in het buitengebied van Altena.

Terwijl er in het buitengebied al volop gegraven wordt om het netwerk zo snel mogelijk beschikbaar te krijgen, was er vandaag een officieel moment met wethouders Matthijs van Oosten van Werkendam, Renze Bergsma van Woudrichem en Wijnand van der Hoeven van Aalburg. Wethouder Wijnand van der Hoeven is blij: “Jaren mee bezig geweest om het voor elkaar te krijgen met wisselend succes, nu lukt het en zijn ze gewoon aan het werk”.

In februari 2018 koos 52 procent van de inwoners van het buitengebied voor diensten via glasvezel. Glasvezel Buitenaf, de nieuwe naam van Mabib, verwacht in het 4de kwartaal van 2018 en het begin van volgend jaar de eerste gebruikers.
