Summary

Description	La paroisse du faubourg de Vienne ne fut jamais bien riche. Il n’y avait toujours pas d’orgue dans l'église à la veille de la Révolution. En 1791, l’occasion lui fut offerte de s’en procurer un, lorsque fut mise en vente, comme les autres établissements monastiques, l’église abbatiale de Notre Dame de Bourgmoyen. Les choses traînèrent au point qu’en novembre 1793 l’orgue se trouvait encore entreposé, en pièces détachées, au fond de l’église. Il disparut avec le reste du mobilier dans le brasier qu’allumèrent les révolutionnaires dans la nef. Grâce à un legs généreux de M. Berthaut, en 1849, la paroisse put passer commande au facteur d’orgues Louis Bonn, de Tours. L'orgue fut complètement démonté à la suite des dommages subis pendant la dernière guerre et remis en service en 1966.
