Ficha de Pilar Aresti, presidenta de la comisión de Amigos del Museo Guggenheim. El baile de los capellanes (hacia 1830-1840), de Antonio Esquivel. 'Entre las muchas obras del museo que me vuelven del revés, hay dos pequeños cuadros que me parecen exquisitos: El café y El baile de los capellanes. En general, en pintura tengo predilección por los interiores. Estas obras de Esquivel, costumbristas, ofrecen un retrato del ambiente del Madrid de la época, realizado por un gran pintor, muy fiel a la tradición de la pintura española. No son las mejores obras del museo, pero son unas pinturas cercanas, accesibles, con las que resulta fácil convivir'.
