English: The Magdalena River is not only the most important water current in Colombia, but it is also unique in the world for its location, its water and sediment flow, its morphology and its fluvial dynamics. The greatness of the river and its wealth are threatened daily by the acceleration of development, industrialization and globalization, to the detriment of the resources of agriculture, livestock, aquaculture and sustainable socio-economic development. |
