Description
Español: El convento de Santa María Magdalena de Cuitzeo es un antiguo convento agustino de estilo plateresco que data del siglo XVI, ubicado en la población de Cuitzeo, en el estado de Michoacán, México. El convento de Cuitzeo fue el quinto fundado por la orden agustina en la antigua provincia de Michoacán. Y hoy en día es uno de los testimonios mejor conservados en el país de la arquitectura religiosa de los primeros años del virreinato de Nueva España. El inmueble al tener su origen en un pueblo de misión forma parte de las antiguas misiones conventuales de Michoacán. Los agustinos titularon el recinto conventual de Cuitzeo en dedicación a “Santa María Magdalena”.
