The mill here is served bythe Hershey Cuban Railway, having approximately 35miles of single track, which is now being electrified andextended. The 1,200-volt direct-current system will be used, with10-point catenary trolley wire construction. The over-head will be suspended largely from bracket arms oncreosoted pine poles, which will carry in addition thesteel-cored aluminum transmission circuits and 795,-000 circ.mil aluminum 1,200-volt feeders. The freight motive power comprises seven 60-ton,four-motor locomotives designed to meet Americanstandards, and the multiple-unit cars will be equippedto make a free running speed of 40 m.p.h. and willweigh about 29 tons. There will be ten straight pas-senger cars seating fifty persons, three combinationpassenger and baggage cars and two combination ex-press and mail cars.
