English: Ellis Briggs cycle shop, Otley Road, Shipley This long-established firm moved over the road to larger modern premises in the 1960s. Ellis Briggs Cycles was founded in 1936 by Mr Leonard Ellis and Mr Thomas Briggs. They sponsor a professional racing team. Its most notable achievement was when Ken Russell won the Tour of Britain in 1952. In the 1960s to70s the star rider was Danny Horton. |
