Text of the plaque: This House was in 1895 by the sculptor Emanuel Pendl *1845, +1927, the creator of numerous large sculptures on Ringstrasse buildings and the Castle. Built as a residence and Studio. His son, the painter Erwin Pendl born 1875, +1945, worked here from 1896-1901.

Deutsch: Emanuel Pendl (* 23. Februar 1845 in Meran; † 28. September 1927 in Wien) war ein österreichischer Maler und Bildhauer mit Südtiroler Wurzeln (Sohn des Bildhauers Franz Pendl und Enkel des Johann Baptist Pendl (1791 – 1859). Er ist der Vater Erwin Pendls.
English: Emanuel Pendl (born February 23, 1845 in Meran; died September 28, 1927 in Vienna) was an Austrian painter and sculptor with South Tyrolean roots (son of the sculptor Franz Pendl and grandson of Johann Baptist Pendl (1791-1859). He is the father of Erwin Pendl.
