DescriptionEngland team bus, Guideline Coaches London (FA10 ENG) 2010 Scania K400EB Irizar PB, London, 8 June 2011.jpg |
English: Guideline Coaches London coach (reg. FA10 ENG), a 2010 Scania K400EB with Irizar PB bodywork. It's seen here painted as the team bus for the England national football team, complete with the three lions (The Football Association's logo and the England team crest, derived from the Royal Arms of England), the FA's web address TheFA.com, and three of the team sponsors logos, Vauxhall, Mars and Umbro. According to their website at the time of the photo, Guideline have been providing coach services to the FA for the England senior and Under-21 teams, aswell as to their opponents, for over 25 years. Having been bought new for the purpose, the coach has been given the age appropriate '10' UK registration, but with special lettering to represent the FA and ENGland. It's pictured here early in the morning of Wednesday 8 June 2011, on the Fulham Road heading for central London, passing the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (behind photographer). This was the day that the Under-21 squad travelled to Denmark for the 2011 European Under-21 championship tournament. On Sunday 5 June 2011 the team had beaten the hosts Norway 2-0 in a warm up game at St Mary's Stadium on the south coast in Southampton. |
