Description
English: Entrance to Charley Woods Charley Woods are managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. The area consists of Burrow Wood, an old 16th century woodland, to the south and the medieval Cat Hill Wood to the north. Separating the two woods is an old species-poor pasture called the Field which is being allowed to regenerate naturally into woodland. There are two kissing gates here; one giving access to the track that runs north along the west side of Burrow Wood to Cat Hill Wood and Charnwood Lodge in SK4615, the other leads to the main public footpath which goes northeast through the Field past Charley Hall and beyond.
