| Description |
English: Entrance to cave at the Old Pengelly Centre, 1968 We stayed at the old centre in December 1968. We went down the caves at night. During the day, we helped excavate the foundations for the new building for the Pengelly Centre http://www.pengellytrust.org/centre.htm . The surrounding land was managed by the Devon Wildlife Trust http://www.devonwildlifetrust.org/index.php?section=home , and is part of the Buckfasleigh SSSI.
We had permission to enter Reeds Cave then, photographs within the cave are: Greater Horseshoe Bat: 1485474; The Bone Heap: 1484107; The Shark's Fin: 1475162; The Hedgehog Grotto: 1475170; The Little Man Helictite: 1475167; The Easter Chamber 1484446; Exit to the cave from within: 1475174. |
