This Swift had a sister bus YRT 896H operated by Brutonian Bus Company in Somerset between 1978-81, which also was new to Lowestoft in 1969. YRT 896H met an unfortunate end, when the Brutonian driver Gordon Tozer struck the scaffolding of the Old Post Office building at the end of Bruton High Street, destorying one of the key window support pillars, rendering it unsafe. It was stripped of seats in 1981 and a married couple set about turning it into a mobile home. I worked on the Brutonian fleet between 80-82. The Brutonian Swift was not a reliable vehicle, so I am not sure how 'mobile' a home it was for the new owners. Paul Welling
