Description

Epiphone ET-285 bass by Matsumoku (ca.1974) [1]

Note: model name “ET-285” is possibly incorrect. The body shape of ET-285 is similar to Epiphone Newport Bass (1961-1969), “but ET-285 has a bolt-on neck and very different hardware.” [2]
In contrast to the above, the model on this photograph has a through-neck instead of bolt-on neck, and also the controller layout is quite different. These designs seem to be shared with other guitar models on the same catalog, ET-275/ET-278/ET-290.
