Deutsch: Erlangen, Hugenottenkirche. Die Zwölf-Uhr-Glocke (Ton h') ist die größte der drei Glocken der Hugenottenkirche. Sie wurde 1734 von Johann Adam Roth aus Würzburg gegossen und trägt folgende Inschriften in französischer Sprache: Abraham Marchand hat diese Glocke auf eigene Kosten für den Gottesdienst und zu Ehren der französischen Kolonie in Christian Erlang gießen lassen. Ihr Klang geht durch alle Länder und bis ans Ende der Welt. Dieses klingende Erz gehört zu den glücklichen Gaben, die um den Preis der Barmherzigkeit zu haben sind. Diese und die Glocke von 1702 wurden während des Zweiten Weltkrieges eingezogen, um eingeschmolzen zu werden. 1947 wurden sie vom Ausschuss für die Rückführung der Glocken auf dem Hamburger Glockenfriedhof identifiziert und nach Erlangen zurückgeführt. |
