English: Eroded floodplain The R.Ayr is entering a gorge section here with very steep walls cut into red sandstone rock on the wooded right hand side of the photograph. A similar area of floodplain to that shown above, but on the opposite side of the river, has been used as the site for the Water Treatment plant shown in Photo 305254. |
