Aus Wurzbachs Biographischem Lexikon des Kaiserthums Oesterreich:
1843. 1., 2. und 5. April: sind Jubeltage in Wien. Es sind 50 Jahre, daß den Erzherzog Karl der Maria Theresien-Orden schmückt. Kaiser Ferdinand verleiht ihm die Ordensdecoration desselben in Brillanten – die einzige im Heere. (Wikisource)
