English:
One storey, local grade listed, corner building. Built to tennement building and beer storage in 1869, ordered by crop trader, road builder entrepreneur Sándor Kaiser (1827 or 1828-1882). In the first decades of the 20th century, the Altstädter and Loewy (Löwy?) grain, crop and seed company HQ (Est. 1860) were located in the building /founders Lipót Altstädter (1848??-1903), Ödön Loewy (?-1906)/. Later the owners were leather merchants József Steiner (~1860-1937) and József Kardos (1871-1941). In 1950, the Zala County Printing Industry State Company established its offices here. The street and courtyard buildings are connected by an unusual "bridge"/skyway. It led to the former maid's room. - House history plaque on its facade: "Kaiser House is a building of local importance. It was built by road contractor Sándor Kaiser as a tenement house in 1869. Here was the Dreher's "beer öde" beer warehouse, a crop trade at the beginning of the 20th century, and then the main agency of the Hungarian General Insurance Co. Later, after the owner leather merchants, the building was referred to as the "József Steiner and József Kardos" house.//The memorial plaque was installed by Árpád Brenner and Kanizsai Printing House Ltd. in 2004, and then restored by General Kanizsa Kft., which renovated the building, in 2013." - 16 Erzsébet Square (Kinizsi Street corner), Nagykanizsa, Zala County, Hungary.
