This Escapement Time Pilot Quartz Watch is made in China and powered by a Japanese Miyota caliber 6S21-00Z quartz chronograph movement. The '00Z' denotes the date/calendar wheel features black numbers on a white background and the date/calendar window must be positioned near the 6 o'clock marker. The 6S21 is part of the 6SXX family of quartz chronograph movements made by Miyota (part of the Citizen group of companies). The 6S21 quartz movement has no jewels and a battery life of about 3 years (assuming 60 minutes of chronograph operations a day). This movement can measure and display time in ¼ second increments up to maximum of 59 minutes 59 seconds. The accuracy rating is ± 20 seconds per month (within a normal temperature range of 5 °C/41 °F to 35 °C/95 °F). The movement in the pictured watch is much more accurate than its accuracy rating.

The crown for setting the time and date is positioned at 3 o'clock and two push-pieces are positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock. The quick reset function is controlled by the push-piece at 4 o'clock whereas the one at 2 o'clock is used to start, stop and restart the chronograph.

The watch was provided with a 75/115 strap made of thick brown leather. An extra-long 80/135 or 85/140 strap with rivets at the spring bar ends would be more in line with German 1930s and World War 2 Pilot/Flieger watches which had exceptionally long leather straps to wear over clothing. It is shown on an aftermarket stainless steel Milanese watch band.
