Description

Fernando I, denominado el Magno, fue el primer rey de Castilla. Nació en 1016 hijo de Sancho III el Mayor, de Navarra, y de Da Nuña, hermana del conde castellano García Sánchez. A la muerte de su padre, en el año 1035, éste divide sus reinos entre sus cuatro hijos otorgando Navarra y Vascongadas a García, Castilla a Fernando, Ara-gón a Ramiro y Sobrarbe y Ribagorza a Gonzalo.
