English: Eurasian frequency distributions of Y-chromosome haplogroups Q. Despite its Asian origin (Sharma et al., 2007) , Hg Q is a minor Y-chromosome haplogroup in Eurasia having two occasional frequency peaks in Northwest Siberia among Kets and Selkups (93.8% and 66.4%, respectively) (Karafet et al., 2002) and in Altai people (17.4%) (Hammer et al., 2005) , as its frequency steeply declines outside these regions.
