English: Exmouth: Esplanade seafront shelter Every seaside town has slightly different designs of seafront shelters. This is one of Exmouth's versions, with a walking stick pointing out of it, which says a certain amount about the demographics of the place... On the right is a pay-in-the-slot telescope, which forcefully reminds me of an old Giles cartoon series about the out-of-season holiday. A notice board is hung from the telescope with the caption "Shipwreck in sight"... The double white lines indicate the extents of the dedicated cycleway. Woe betide any pedestrian who accidently gets in the way of a motorized buggy along here. |
