A Vought A-7E Corsair II aircraft from attack squadron VA-82 Marauders is ready for launch on the port catapult, 15 June 1982. All aircraft were assigned to Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8), which was at that time mostly stationed on the USS Nimitz (CVN-68); however, on 7 May 1982 the Atlantic Fleet Training Group and CVW-8 embarked aboard Carl Vinson and the ship began Refresher Training. |
