Description
English: U.S. Navy catapult crewmen check the tension on the launch cable while preparing to catapult a McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II of Fighter Squadron 33 (VF-33) "Tarsiers", during flight operations aboard the carrier USS Independence (CV-62) in the Atlantic Ocean, October 1974. VF-33 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7) aboard the Independence for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 19 July 1974 to 21 January 1975.
