Description A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4J Phantom II fighter of U.S. Navy Fighter Squadron VF-74 "Be-Devilers" intercepting a Soviet Tupolew Tu-95 (NATO reporting code "Bear D") in 1978. The F-4J is armed with AIM-9D Sidewinder missiles. VF-74 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 4 April to 26 October 1978.
