Description	A U.S. Navy McDonnell F2H-4 Banshee of Fighter Squadron 11 (VF-11) "Red Rippers" aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43). VF-11 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 10 (CVG-10) aboard the Coral Sea for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 13 August 1956 to 11 February 1957. The aircraft had obviously landed aboard the USS Randolph (CVA-15), which, with assigned Air Task Group 202 (ATG-202), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 14 July 1956 to 19 February 1957. It was common to "paint" visiting aircraft.
