editDescriptionF4U-1 Air Group 67 USS Cabot NAN8-49.jpg | A U.S. Naval Reserve Vought F4U-1 Corsair of fighter squadron VF-68A folding its wings after landing on the training carrier USS Cabot (CVL-28) in June 1949. VF-68A was assigned to reserve Carrier Air Group 67 (CVG-67) which made a four-day cruise aboard the Cabot in June 1948 off Pensacola, Florida (USA), with 39 catapult launches and 505 landings. CVG-67 of the New York Naval Air Reserve had 62 officers and 167 enlisted men, and was equipped with 37 Corsairs, Grumman F6F-5 Hellcats, and TBM-3 Avengers. |
