Description
English: A solar panel provides power to the F6 field camp in the McMurdo Dry Valleys, the largest ice-free area in Antarctica. The Dry Valleys are the site of various research projects, including a long-term, multi-disciplinary program funded by the National Science Foundation that studies the interconnections between the soils, lakes, glaciers, biology, hydrology and climate. See the McMurdo Dry Valleys LTER website for more information.
