Description A U.S. Navy Reserve Grumman F9F-2 Panther (BuNo 123649) from Fighter Squadron 721 (VF-721) "Starbusters" flying escort for a photo plane, near Sinpo, North Korea. The pilot was Lt(JG) T.G. Nielson, USNR. VF-721 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer (CV-21) for a deployment to Korea from 2 March to 24 October 1951. Note the rugged terrain below.
